Weight Management Programmes

Physician-led, multimodal weight reduction for medically indicated obesity — with diagnostics, nutritional therapy, behavioural support and, where appropriate, modern drug therapy.

Obesity is a chronic disease with considerable consequences for heart, vessels and metabolism — and it is treatable. Our weight management is not a diet programme but a physician-led, multimodal therapy that addresses the individual causes.

At the centre is continuous support: diagnostics, an individual therapy plan, behavioural guidance and — where medically indicated — modern drug support.

Scope of services

  • Detailed history (weight biography, eating behaviour, exercise, hormones)
  • Body composition analysis (BIA: fat, muscle, visceral fat, water)
  • Laboratory diagnostics (thyroid, insulin resistance, cortisol, hormones, vitamin D)
  • Basal metabolic rate determination
  • Medical nutritional counselling and individual therapy plan
  • Exercise recommendation and physiotherapy planning
  • Where appropriate, drug support (GLP-1 therapy)
  • Behavioural medicine support (eating psychology, stress eating)
  • Regular follow-up (weight, BIA, laboratory)
  • Group format as a complementary option

Modern drug therapy (GLP-1)

Where indicated, treatment can be supported by modern medicines from the group of GLP-1 agonists (e.g. semaglutide, liraglutide). These are medically supervised and issued as a private prescription.

Medication costs are billed separately via the pharmacy and are not part of the medical service. We provide detailed information on effects, side effects and expectations.

Why multimodal

Lasting success rarely comes from a single measure. Only the interplay of medical diagnostics, nutrition, exercise, behaviour and — where necessary — medication leads to sustainable change. Continuous medical support keeps the process on track.

Medical indications

This programme is considered in particular for the following constellations. The individual indication is determined by the physician in a personal consultation.

  • Obesity grade I–III (BMI ≥ 30)
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Type 2 diabetes / prediabetes
  • Arterial hypertension
  • Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
  • Sleep apnoea syndrome
  • Obesity-associated joint disease

The treatment of medically indicated obesity is exempt from VAT as medical treatment (§ 4 No. 14a of the German VAT Act), provided the disease is documented. The costs of prescribed medicines are to be considered separately.

Personal consultation

Whether and to what extent this programme is appropriate for you is something we clarify together in a personal consultation.
