Extended Preventive Services

Preventive diagnostics beyond the statutory standard — for the early detection of cardiovascular, metabolic and oncological diseases as well as deficiencies.

Many serious diseases develop over years without causing symptoms. Statutory prevention covers only part of the relevant risks. Our extended preventive services close this gap with deeper, physician-led diagnostics.

The aim is a complete, individual risk profile — as the basis for targeted prevention, before a risk becomes a disease.

Scope of services

  • Complete blood count incl. differential
  • Extended lipid profile (LDL, HDL, triglycerides, Lp(a), ApoB)
  • Thyroid screening (TSH, fT3, fT4, anti-TPO, anti-Tg)
  • Vitamin diagnostics (vitamin D, B12, folate, zinc, ferritin)
  • Kidney function (creatinine, cystatin C, eGFR, uric acid)
  • Liver values (AST, ALT, GGT, ALP, bilirubin)
  • Inflammation markers (CRP, homocysteine, HbA1c)
  • 12-lead resting ECG and 24-hour long-term ECG
  • Lung function (spirometry)
  • Abdominal ultrasound (liver, gallbladder, kidney, aorta, spleen)
  • Bone density measurement (DXA) on request
  • Intraocular pressure measurement (glaucoma screening)
  • Individual risk profile and consultation

Why extended prevention

The combination of laboratory, functional diagnostics and imaging allows a risk assessment that individual values alone cannot provide. Only the overall picture shows where prevention should begin.

All examinations are selected and evaluated by a physician — not a standardised checklist, but diagnostics tailored to your situation.

Medical indications

This programme is considered in particular for the following constellations. The individual indication is determined by the physician in a personal consultation.

  • Cardiovascular disease prevention
  • Metabolic disease prevention
  • Oncological risk early detection
  • Early detection of deficiencies
  • Family history
  • Individual risk assessment

Where there is a documented medical indication, these services are exempt from VAT as medical treatment (§ 4 No. 14a of the German VAT Act). The decisive factor is the therapeutic objective, which is documented traceably in the patient record.

Personal consultation

Whether and to what extent this programme is appropriate for you is something we clarify together in a personal consultation.

The nature and scope of the services actually provided depend on the individual medical indication and are documented per patient. Billing is itemised under the German Medical Fee Schedule (GOÄ).
