Programme 04

Stress Medicine & Burnout Prevention

Physician-led stress screening, objective stress diagnostics and basic psychosomatic care — early detection and course-setting before manifest burnout.

Chronic stress is an independent cardiovascular risk factor and stands at the beginning of many psychosomatic complaints. The earlier a misbalance is recognised, the more easily it can be influenced.

We combine a structured history with objective measurement — and make a clear triage: what can be supported here, and when is specialist or psychotherapeutic further treatment indicated.

Scope of services

  • Detailed psychosomatic history (stress, sleep, work, resources)
  • Validated questionnaires (PSQ, MBI)
  • Stress biomarker laboratory (cortisol daily profile, DHEA-S, serotonin, melatonin)
  • HRV measurement (heart rate variability) as an objective stress marker
  • Individual therapy plan
  • Basic psychosomatic care / supportive consultation
  • HRV biofeedback training
  • Recommendation and coordination of relaxation methods (MBSR, PMR, autogenic training)
  • Clinical and laboratory follow-up

Clear triage instead of a blanket approach

Stress symptoms can have many causes. A central component is differential diagnosis — for example distinguishing depressive disorders. If a condition requiring treatment is confirmed, we coordinate specialist or psychotherapeutic further treatment.

Treatment methods such as biofeedback and relaxation training are offered subject to the relevant qualification or in cooperation.

Medical indications

This programme is considered in particular for the following constellations. The individual indication is determined by the physician in a personal consultation.

  • Stress reactions and adjustment disorders
  • Burnout syndrome
  • Somatoform disorders
  • Sleep disorders / insomnia
  • Stress-induced hypertension
  • Psychovegetative exhaustion

Where there is a documented medical indication, these services are exempt from VAT as medical treatment (§ 4 No. 14a of the German VAT Act). The decisive factor is the therapeutic objective, which is documented traceably in the patient record.

Personal consultation

Whether and to what extent this programme is appropriate for you is something we clarify together in a personal consultation.
